Machu Picchu
Perched above the Sacred Valley, this 15th century citadel built by the Inca is Peru's most visited place in addition to being one of the most popular places in the world. Getting on the 5:30 am bus is advised to avoid huge crowds and get your best photos—or better yet, trek there and enjoy a well deserved sunrise here. Do be aware that you need to get in line at about 3:30 am to have a better chance at getting on that bus! Additionally, you need to buy tickets in advance and familiarize yourself with the regulations that have been set in place. We strongly suggest going with a reputable tour operator to have the process made simpler for you.
